Director Tony Scott commits suicide by jumping in LA bridge
















Hollywood filmmaker Tony Scott who had directed big hit action movies like Top Gun Crimson Tide Days of Thunder and Beverly Hills Cop II has reportedly committed suicide by jumping from a bridge over Los Angeles Harbor on Sunday says sources from the Los Angeles County Coroner.According to Lieutenant Joe Bale a watch commander for the coroner office Tony Scott 68 was spotted parking his car on the Vincent Thomas Bridge and jumping into the water below at about 12:30 pm local time.Joe Bale said that Tony Scott dead body was recovered by law enforcement from the harbor shortly before 3 pm.Joe Bale further said that there was no immediate evidence leading investigators to believe that Scott death was anything but a suicide.He added that an autopsy had not yet been performed. Meanwhile US Coast Guard Lt.Jennifer Osburn told the Daily Breeze that a suicide note was found inside Tony Scott black Toyota Prius which was parked on one of the eastbound lanes of the bridge.British born Tony Scott who lived in Beverly Hills, had produced hit movies with his brother director Ridley Scott under the banner of Scott Free Productions. Top Gun starring Tom Cruise, was one of the highest-grossing films of 1986. He had teamed up with Cruise again four years later on the hit Days of Thunder.The Hollywood filmmaker had worked with Denzel Washington for the movies like Unstoppable, Crimson Tide, Man on Fire Deja Vu and The Taking of Pelham 123.Tony Scott was jointly working with his brother on a film called Killing Lincoln, which is based on the best seller by Bill O'Reilly.
