First he played a nice guy, then a bad guy, and now actor Bryan Cranston might play a comic-book bad guy.

Is Bryan Cranston getting ready to play really bad, as Lex Luthor in the Man of Steel sequel?
The Breaking Bad star is the topic of bubbling buzz today after a books website declared that Cranston has been cast as Luthor, who's even worse, in a cartoonish way, than Cranston's award-winning role as chemist-turned-meth-kingpin Walter White in the AMC series that is airing its final episodes.
After Cosmicbooknews.com posted its story, Rolling Stone and others followed, leading to much digital chatter on Twitter.
Make that even more chatter: This sequel is already attracting widespread attention because Ben Affleck has been cast as Batman, leading to inevitable "Batfleck" jibes. British hearthrob Henry Cavill returns as Superman.
Of course, there is no confirmation of this from either Cranston or the producers, but that hasn't stopped the Twitterverse from weighing in.
"I'm instantly more interested in this movie," tweeted Ashley Chaffin.
"Walter White can stand toe-to-toe with the Dark Knight and Superman :)," tweeted Paul N. Carlson.
"Bryan Cranston is NOT Lex Luthor. He's interested in the role, but he hasn't been cast yet," cautioned Batman-news.com.
"Reserving judgement on the Bryan Cranston playing Lex Luthor rumor until it's official. In a way though, I'm not sure it's a good idea," added Lisa Jackson.
