Prince Mahesh Babu businessman was released for Pongal,2012 and it proved to be a decent hit at the box office.This movie was dubbed in Tamil with the same title.This movie was released over 200 screens in Tamil Nadu. In Chennai alone the movie was released in 21 theaters.However at the end of its first show screenings on day one the talk of the movie was not encouraging. As per the kollywood box office reports the movie had to face hardships to get the break even collections.Saucy seductress Kajal Aggarwal was seen opposite to Mahesh Babu in this film. SS Thaman composed the music of the movie. Maverick director Puri Jagannadh directed the movie under the banner RR Movie Makers which is owned by Venkat.
