Anyone following the most dramatic show of the season? No, not Homeland. Because unlike Showtime's popular thriller series, this ongoing saga is actually not on television. It's the continuation of former Desperate Housewives star Nicollette Sheridan's legal battle with the show.
As of Friday, the California Supreme Court has denied the actress' latest appeal in her legal battle against Touchstone Television and ABC. The ruling comes only two months after the judge denied Sheridan's request for a rehearing of the initial case.
All of this started three years earlier when the actress claimed she was wrongfully terminated and physically assaulted by the show's creator, Marc Cherry. The case was ruled a mistrial, but it looks as if this might be the end of it. For now.
