Well-known film producer & distributor, liquor & real estate tycoon Ponty Chadha and his brother, as per the latest media reports, were shot dead in crossfire during a meeting which was held at their farmhouse in South Delhi to sort their ongoing property dispute.
According to the media reports, the two brothers opened fire at each other as they disputed over their property. It is being said that the meeting began on a peaceful note however no sooner it turned into a heated argument & in rage the duo whipped out guns at each other and hit bullets in the chest area.

The incident took place around 1 pm. The security guards present tried to intervene but even they were injured in the shootout.
Both the brothers were rushed to the nearest hospital but they were declared dead.
55-year old Gurdeep Singh Chadha aka Ponty headed a business empire, the Wave Group, encompassing distilleries, multiplexes (Wave Cinemas), sugar and paper mills, real estate, poultry. He even produced Sunny Deol starrer JO BOLE SO NIHAAL and recently even collaborated with Pooja Bhatt to produce her upcoming ventures JISM 3, CABARET.
